Het schilderij Colorful Equality is een ode aan gelijkwaardigheid, vrijheid en respect.
De vele hoofden, elk met hun eigen kleuren en texturen, staan symbool voor de verscheidenheid van de mensheid.
Ze zijn uniek, maar verbonden — ieder gevormd door een ander verhaal, een andere achtergrond, een ander perspectief.

Op mijn website “Mijn Verwerking” beschrijf ik de ziekte, het overlijden en de tijd erna van mijn man.
In dit schilderij zie je twee borsten met grote en kleine cellen.
Zij symboliseren groei — en het afscheid dat we steeds opnieuw maken vanaf het moment dat we worden geboren.
Afscheid nemen begint al vroeg.
Bij de geboorte verlaat je de geborgenheid van de moederschoot.
Je drinkt uit de borst, voelt nabijheid, warmte, veiligheid — maar ook dat eindigt.
Zo nemen we in het leven steeds weer afscheid: van mensen, situaties, lichamen, dromen.
Het leven stroomt.
We kunnen het niet vasthouden of controleren.
Wie leert meegaan met de beweging, voelt vrede, soms zelfs geluk.
De natuur laat het ons zien: ze verwoest, breekt, herstelt en bloeit opnieuw.
Wij zijn deel van datzelfde ritme.
Leven is voortdurend loslaten.
Mijn man heeft tot het laatste moment geleefd — intens, bewust, vol liefde.
Het was de moeilijkste, maar ook de mooiste periode van mijn leven.

We feed, we bond, we separate.
Throughout life we keep saying goodbye: to people, to situations, to bodies, to dreams.
Life flows.
We cannot hold or control it.
Those who learn to move with it will find peace — and sometimes, quiet joy.
Nature shows us how: it breaks, destroys, heals, and blossoms again.
We are part of that same rhythm.
To live is to let go, again and again.
My husband lived fully, right until his last breath —
